The Department of Software Science was established on September 22nd, 2002 to keep pace with the rest of the departments at the College of Computer Science and Mathematics. It aims to prepare highly qualified programmer with efficiency and potentials to apply the engineering concepts, techniques, and methods for the purpose of designing, implementing, and maintaining large complex and software systems with operating systems software, real-time software, Artificial Intelligence software, and scientific and engineering application software. This software is highly efficient and error-free. It also meets the needs and requirements of customers and helps them to carry out their tasks easily and quickly. It is expected that the need for qualified software engineers will increase with the growth of the information revolution and multimedia applications, which has led to the use of software to address the needs of information systems in all sectors of society
