The College of Law is one of the most prominent humanities colleges at the University of Mosul. It was established in the academic year 1983-1984. It was called the College of Law. The Department of Politics was created in it, and it was called the College of Law and Politics. The Faculty of Law) has one scientific department, the Department of Law, and in the 1993-1994 academic year, one scientific department split into two scientific branches, the Public Law Branch and the Private Law Branch. A third scientific branch of human rights law.

- The College of Law grants a Bachelor's degree in Law. The duration of study is four years, during which the student receives various legal sciences, which is included in the study materials for both the private and public branches.
Evening studies were introduced in the 1994-1995 academic year.

Postgraduate studies were introduced in the year (1993-1994), where the college grants master's and doctorate degrees for both public and private law branches.
