The College Council of the College of Administration and Economics \u2013 University of Mosul held its twenty-second session on Thursday, June 19, 2025, headed by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Sinan Zuhair Mohammed Jameel, to discuss several topics central to the academic process and institutional development.<\/p>\n

The session began with the Dean\u2019s directive on the necessity of closely monitoring the first-stage examinations and ensuring their smooth conduct, emphasizing that the success of the examination process is a fundamental pillar in achieving the college\u2019s academic advancement.<\/p>\n

The Dean also urged the faculty members to enhance their research activities by completing scientific research and applying for academic promotions, due to the direct impact this has on strengthening the academic standing of the staff and enhancing the college\u2019s scientific reputation.<\/p>\n

In pursuit of programmatic accreditation, the Dean stressed the need for academic departments to fulfill accreditation requirements and submit within the specified timeframes, considering this a qualitative step toward ensuring quality and improving the academic programs.<\/p>\n

Regarding postgraduate programs, the importance of completing theses and dissertations within specific timeframes was underscored, in line with the standards of sound research and the regulation of academic durations for each program.<\/p>\n

The Dean also emphasized that thesis and dissertation defenses should maintain a rigorous scientific nature, reflecting the level of academic programs and the quality of the college\u2019s outputs.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, he directed the enhancement of the external examiner program through the involvement of academic expertise from international, Arab, and local universities, contributing to the scientific value of the defenses and achieving knowledge integration. He pointed out that the program should serve as an effective element in supporting the quality of education and research.<\/p>\n
