The Department of Economics at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, held a discussion for the Master\u2019s thesis titled: \u201cTrends in the Return from New Currency Issuance in a Number of Heavily Indebted Developing Countries with Reference to Iraq for the Period 2000\u20132023.\u201d<\/p>\n

The current study, submitted by Ahmed Elias Abbas Al-Obaidi, aimed to explore the trends in the return from new currency issuance, which is influenced by three main variables: public debt, political instability, and inflation. This topic is considered crucial in monetary policy, focusing on the returns generated from new currency issuance.<\/p>\n

The study concluded with key findings, most notably: that public debt, political stability, and inflation are the main determinants of the return paths from new currency issuance in the countries under study.<\/p>\n

The discussion committee was chaired by Professor Dr. Bashar Ahmed Al-Iraqi, and included the membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Ziyad Azzedine Tahah from Tikrit University, Assistant Professor Ms. Rafah Adnan Najm, and was supervised and co-membered by Assistant Professor Dr. Saadoun Hussein Farhan.<\/p>\n
