The meeting was chaired by Professor Dr. Sinan Zuhair Mohammed Jameel, Dean of the College, and attended by the Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs, the Associate Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs, all heads of academic departments, as well as the following unit and division representatives:<\/p>\n

The session commenced with formal congratulations extended by the Dean to the newly appointed heads of the following departments: Accounting, Financial and Banking Sciences, and Management Information Systems \u2014 following recent administrative changes.<\/p>\n
The meeting featured in-depth discussions on several key topics that serve as cornerstones for the college\u2019s roadmap in the upcoming academic year. Notable among them were:<\/p>\n
A proposal to establish a Department of Public Administration in alignment with national labor market needs and efforts to enhance government administrative efficiency.<\/p>\n
Strengthening the quality of scientific research and aligning academic publishing with global standards to advance higher education and institutional development.<\/p>\n
Reaffirming full adherence to legal regulations and ministerial guidelines, particularly in student-related matters, in order to uphold academic justice and the rule of law.<\/p>\n
Promoting the integration of English in postgraduate programs \u2014 in both teaching and thesis writing \u2014 and encouraging publication in high-impact Scopus-indexed journals (Q1, Q2), with research addressing real-world Iraqi societal challenges.<\/p>\n
Activating industrial advisory boards as strategic connectors between the college and stakeholders in both the public and private sectors.<\/p>\n
Reviewing and modernizing academic curricula in response to labor market trends and contemporary knowledge frameworks.<\/p>\n
Endorsing the roadmap for international scientific conferences and seminars for the 2025\u20132026 academic year, with a focus on topics such as digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and sustainable development.<\/p>\n
Expanding international academic cooperation by activating agreements with regional and global universities.<\/p>\n
The council also discussed general strategic directions for the upcoming phase, emphasizing the importance of streamlining student and administrative procedures and fostering an educational environment characterized by efficiency, responsiveness, and collective commitment.<\/p>\n
This session stands out as one of the most significant milestones of the current academic year due to the depth of its developmental insights and the administration\u2019s dedication to promoting quality education (SDG 4) and building effective partnerships for sustainable development (SDG 17) \u2014 reinforcing the college\u2019s position as a leading academic institution in Iraq and the broader region.
