The Department of Financial and Banking Sciences at the College of Administration and Economics \u2013 University of Mosul, discussed the Master\u2019s thesis titled “Determining Banking Business Models and Their Impact on Financial Stability \u2013 An Analytical Study in a Sample of Commercial Banks Operating in Some Arab Countries<\/b>,” on Sunday, October 19, 2025, in Discussion Hall No. (1).<\/p>\n

\u200bThe thesis was submitted by the student Mustafa Ahmed Hussein Al-Omari<\/b> from the Department of Financial and Banking Sciences. His study aimed to identify banking business models and their impact on financial stability in commercial banks operating in Iraq, Kuwait, Jordan, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates<\/b> for the period extending from 2014\u20132023<\/b>.<\/p>\n

\u200bThe study concluded that the commercial banks in the research sample rely on two main banking business models: the Diversification Model<\/b> and the Focus Model<\/b>, and that these models have a clear impact on the level of financial stability of those banks.<\/p>\n

\u200bThe session was attended by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Sinan Zuhair Muhammad Jameel, the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Salem Khalil Khalid, and the Assistant Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Dr. Abdulrahman Zuhair Abdulqadir.<\/p>\n
