The Department of Economics at the College of Administration and Economics \u2013 University of Mosul, discussed on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, the doctoral dissertation titled \u201cMeasuring and Analyzing the Impact of Governance Indicators on Economic Performance for the Period 2010\u20132020: A Comparative Study of a Selected Group of Countries,\u201d held in Discussion Hall No. (1).<\/p>\n

The dissertation was submitted by Badee\u2019 Salman Abdul Jassim from the Department of Economics. The study aimed to highlight the role of governance variables in improving overall economic performance, as well as to estimate and analyze the magnitude and direction of the impact of governance indicators on economic performance indicators across a selected group of countries during the specified period.<\/p>\n

The study found that governance indicators such as Rule of Law (RL), Regulatory Quality (RQ), Legal Framework, and Voice and Accountability (VR) are positively and statistically significantly correlated with the rate of economic growth, confirming that improving governance levels contributes to enhancing and sustaining economic growth.<\/p>\n
