The Department of Financial and Banking Sciences at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, held on Tuesday, 30 December 2025 the discussion of a Higher Diploma thesis entitled: \u201cMoney Supply and Its Impact on Selected Performance Indicators of the Iraqi Stock Exchange,\u201d
\nsubmitted by the student Abdullah Talal Taha Al-Su\u2019alband, in Hall No. (1).
\nThe study aimed to analyze the impact of the money supply as the main independent variable on a number of performance indicators of the Iraqi Stock Exchange, namely the general market index, trading volume, and market capitalization. The study employed the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model, using monthly data obtained from the Iraqi Stock Exchange and the Central Bank of Iraq for the period 2015\u20132024.
\nKey Findings:
\nThe money supply has a positive and statistically significant effect on all market performance indicators, confirming its role in stimulating financial activity.
\nThe interest rate does not have a statistically significant effect on the performance indicators.
\nThe impact of inflation varies between a negative and statistically significant effect on some indicators and an insignificant effect on others, highlighting the pivotal role of monetary liquidity in enhancing the performance of the Iraqi Stock Exchange.
