Under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Administration and Economics, Professor Dr. Sinan Zuhair Mohammed Jameel, the Department of Management Information Systems held an awareness workshop on Monday, February 16, 2026, titled:
\n\u201cIllegal Migration\u2026 Real Risks and a Tragic End.\u201d
\nThe workshop was presented by third-year students of the department. The lecture was delivered by Mohammed Abdul Qader Tawfiq and Walaa Ali Ahmed in Laboratory No. (1), under the direct supervision of the Head of the Department of Management Information Systems, Assistant Professor Dr. Ramadan Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi.
\nThe workshop addressed the humanitarian, social, and economic impacts of illegal migration, highlighting its real dangers and serious consequences for individuals and society, as part of efforts to enhance students\u2019 awareness of contemporary issues.
\nThe event was attended by a number of faculty members and students of the department. This initiative comes in line with achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goals One and Two, by spreading community awareness and promoting a culture of responsibility and prevention.<\/p>\n
