{"id":51585,"date":"2026-02-27T11:25:15","date_gmt":"2026-02-27T11:25:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uomosul.edu.iq\/en\/administrationeconomic\/?p=51585"},"modified":"2026-02-27T11:25:15","modified_gmt":"2026-02-27T11:25:15","slug":"the-department-of-business-administration-college-of-administration-and-economics-at-the-university-of-mosul-discusses-a-masters-thesis-on-ethical-climate-and-its-impact-on-reducing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uomosul.edu.iq\/en\/administrationeconomic\/2026\/02\/27\/the-department-of-business-administration-college-of-administration-and-economics-at-the-university-of-mosul-discusses-a-masters-thesis-on-ethical-climate-and-its-impact-on-reducing\/","title":{"rendered":"The Department of Business Administration \u2013 College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul Discusses a Master\u2019s Thesis on Ethical Climate and Its Impact on Reducing Organizational Nepotism"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Department of Business Administration at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, held the defense of a Master\u2019s thesis on Thursday, February 26, 2026, entitled: \u201cThe Reflection of Ethical Climate Dimensions in Reducing Organizational Nepotism: A Survey Study at the University of Mosul.\u201d<br \/>\nThe thesis was submitted by the student Shaimaa Zaki Abdulilyas Al-Hashemi and was defended in Discussion Hall No. (1).<br \/>\nThe study aimed to highlight the role of the ethical climate, with its five dimensions (instrumental, independence, caring, law, and rules) as an independent variable, in reducing organizational nepotism as a dependent variable, represented by its three dimensions (in-group bias, paternalistic nepotism, and reciprocal interests) at the University of Mosul.<br \/>\nThe study reached several important findings, most notably the existence of statistically significant correlation and impact relationships between the ethical climate variable and organizational nepotism in the researched universities. These results emphasize the importance of reinforcing ethical values within the university environment to reduce manifestations of nepotism and enhance organizational justice.<br \/>\nThe examination committee consisted of:<br \/>\nAssistant Professor Dr. Hassan Thabit Jassim College of Administration and Economics \u2013 University of Mosul as a Chair,\u00a0 Assistant Professor Dr. Raghad Mohammed Yahya College of Administration and Economics \u2013 University of Mosul as a Member,\u00a0 Assistant Professor Dr. Firas Hassan Rashid College of Administration and Economics \u2013 Tikrit University as a Member and\u00a0 Assistant Professor Dr. Alaa Abduljawad Al-Ani<br \/>\nCollege of Administration and Economics \u2013 University of Mosul as a Member and Supervisor.<\/p>\n<p><img
