The University of Mosul \/ College of Administration and Economics \u2013 Department of Economics witnessed, on Thursday, March 26, 2026, in Discussion Hall No. (2), the defense of a PhD dissertation entitled:
\n\u201cMeasuring and Analyzing the Impact of Industrial Policies on the International Competitiveness of a Selected Group of Countries\u201d
\nPresented by the student: Ghaidaa Mohammed Nafi\u2019 Shaheen.
\nThe study aimed to analyze the relationship between industrial policies and international competitiveness in Southeast Asian countries, relying on reliable quantitative indicators, in addition to measuring the impact of the exchange rate in enhancing competitiveness.
\nThe key findings of the study highlighted:
\nThe exchange rate is a strategic and direct factor in determining the competitiveness of Southeast Asian countries.
\nIts impact is clearly reflected through its role in supporting industrial exports and attracting foreign direct investment.
\nThe examination committee consisted of:
