\u00a0The Department of Financial and Banking Sciences at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, witnessed on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, the defense of the master’s thesis entitled “Estimating the Contribution of Noise Trading in Enhancing Abnormal Returns: An Analytical Study in Arab Financial Markets,” presented by the student Abdulrahman Younis Fathi Saleh Al-Rubaie, in Discussion Hall No. (1).<\/p>\n

\u200bThe study aimed to measure the impact of noise trading in enhancing abnormal returns, demonstrate the extent of its contribution to the deviation of securities prices from their fundamental values, and evaluate the efficiency of Arab financial markets under the influence of this type of trading, thereby contributing to understanding investor behavior and its reflections on financial market performance.<\/p>\n

\u200bThe study reached a number of conclusions, most notably that noise trading significantly affects the enhancement of abnormal returns, and that the strength of this impact varies from one financial market to another depending on the market efficiency level and its characteristics. This underscores the importance of enhancing financial market efficiency and raising investment awareness to limit the effects resulting from trading that is not based on fundamental information.<\/p>\n
