The meetings aimed to discuss a number of academic and administrative matters that contribute to developing institutional performance, enhancing the quality of the educational process, and following up on the implementation of directives from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Presidency of the University of Mosul.<\/p>\n
\u200bThe meeting held on Monday, August 10, 2026, addressed several key areas, most notably:<\/p>\n
\u200bDiscussing the directives of the Council of the University of Mosul and the mechanisms for their implementation in alignment with the college’s plans and academic and administrative orientations.<\/p>\n
Approving the activation of the Social Solidarity Fund at the college, based on the recommendation of the University Council, to support lower-grade employees and deserving cases, provided that disbursements are made after obtaining the approval of the College Council and according to the approved regulations.<\/p>\n
\u200bEmphasizing the completion of updating the college’s website in English, particularly regarding the Bologna Process for all scientific departments, in coordination with the Media and Government Communication Division, to enhance the college’s international academic presence.<\/p>\n
Stressing the need to regularly update the faculty members’ CVs to reflect their scientific and academic output and keep pace with the requirements of academic rankings and accreditations.<\/p>\n
Emphasizing the achievement of fairness and transparency in allocating postgraduate students to supervising faculty members, in accordance with applicable rules and instructions.<\/p>\n
\u200bStressing the completion of the Student Information System (SIS) tasks across all scientific departments within the specified deadlines, ensuring smooth operations and boosting administrative and academic efficiency.<\/p>\n
\u200bAt the conclusion of the meeting, the Dean of the College emphasized that these periodic meetings serve as an effective tool for monitoring the implementation of academic and administrative plans, as well as embedding a culture of quality and institutional governance, thereby contributing to elevating performance standards and achieving the college’s goals in education, scientific research, and community service.<\/p>\n
\u200bThese measures also align with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) by enhancing educational quality and academic governance, and Goal 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) through reinforcing the principles of transparency, fairness, and efficient institutional management.<\/p>\n
