The College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul held the first session of its College Council for the academic year 2026\u20132027 on Sunday, August 30, 2026, chaired by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Sinan Zuhair Mohammed Jameel, and attended by the Associate Deans, heads of scientific departments, and several heads of administrative sections and units.<\/p>\n

\u200bThe Council initiated its meeting by extending congratulations to the faculty members on the launch of the new academic year and the resumption of official duties. It then discussed the administrative and academic directives issued by the Council of the University of Mosul and the mechanisms for their implementation to enhance institutional performance quality and advance the educational process.<\/p>\n

\u200bThe Council emphasized organizing postgraduate student defense sessions in accordance with ministerial regulations to ensure the rigor of discussions and the academic environment, by regulating attendance and prohibiting celebratory displays, gifts, and banquets, with the College committing to providing suitable halls and an official scientific atmosphere.<\/p>\n

\u200bAdditionally, the Council discussed completing the Student Information System (SIS) requirements, finalizing undergraduate and postgraduate teaching loads, forming scientific and examination committees, fulfilling program accreditation requirements, and monitoring the comprehensive exam for Ph.D. students, alongside adopting mechanisms to develop academic and administrative work per ministerial instructions.<\/p>\n

\u200bThe session witnessed the approval of several developmental initiatives, most notably activating communication platforms with students via smart screens to receive proposals and feedback, tracking the updating of the College website, activating academic advising programs, registering scientific activities via the “Nawdati” platform, and preparing the scientific conferences plan, while encouraging faculty members to participate in Science Day awards to foster a culture of excellence and innovation.<\/p>\n

\u200bIn conclusion, the Council reaffirmed its commitment to continuing teamwork and adhering to ministerial and university guidelines, contributing to achieving the College’s goals and advancing the quality of education, scientific research, and community service.<\/p>\n
