The Department of Financial and Banking Sciences at the College of Administration and Economics, University of Mosul, held on Thursday, September 3, 2026, the first session of the Department Council for the 2026\u20132027 academic year, chaired by Asst. Prof. Dr. Uday Salem Ali, Head of the Department, and attended by faculty members, in implementation of the directives of the College Deanship and in preparation for the start of the new academic year.<\/p>\n

\u200bThe session witnessed a review of the key academic, scientific, and administrative achievements accomplished by the department during the past year, alongside discussing the work plan for the new academic year and its implementation mechanisms in line with the college and university orientations, in addition to approving the teaching workload distribution to ensure the regularity and stability of the educational process.<\/p>\n

\u200bThe council addressed a number of academic and organizational files, most notably completing program accreditation requirements and finalizing performance evaluation files for the 2025\u20132026 academic year, adhering to lecture schedules and fulfilling curriculum requirements, monitoring faculty attendance, and activating the absence tracking system for both undergraduate and postgraduate students, in addition to completing the work of scientific and administrative committees.<\/p>\n

\u200bThe attendees also discussed the importance of maintaining confidentiality in postgraduate student discussions, enhancing scientific publishing in reputable international journals and databases, and encouraging faculty members to participate in Science Day Awards, thereby contributing to highlighting the department’s scientific output and strengthening its academic and research presence.<\/p>\n

\u200bThe session concluded with an emphasis on continuing to work in a spirit of teamwork and leveraging the department’s scientific capabilities to achieve its academic and research goals, thereby enhancing institutional performance quality and aligning with the vision of the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul in achieving academic excellence and accreditation.<\/p>\n
