Professor Dr. Sinan Zuhair Muhammad Jamil, Dean of the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Mosul, chaired an expanded meeting today, Tuesday, September 22, 2026. The meeting brought together Assistant Professor Dr. Salem Khalil Khalid, Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Kubra Muhammad Tahir, Head of the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit at the college, alongside heads of scientific departments and departmental liaison members, as part of efforts to enhance guidance and awareness programs targeting undergraduate and postgraduate students.<\/p>\n

\u200bDuring the meeting, the Dean emphasized the necessity for each scientific department to prepare a comprehensive guidance plan comprising no less than 25 guidance workshops distributed across the first and second semesters. These plans are to be submitted to the college deanship to be unified into an integrated annual program detailing execution dates, main themes, and participating entities.<\/p>\n

\u200bDiscussions covered several priority topics essential for building student character and enhancing awareness, most notably combating cheating along with its administrative and legal consequences, anti-smoking efforts, curbing financial and administrative corruption, women’s rights, and gender equality, in addition to other guidance topics serving the youth segment and instilling academic values and positive behavior.<\/p>\n

\u200bThe Dean noted that the college deanship had previously initiated communications with relevant official institutions, including the Central Bank of Iraq, the Federal Board of Supreme Audit, the Commission of Integrity, the College of Law, the Community Police, and the Trade Bank of Iraq, among others, to involve specialized experts in delivering the workshops and awareness programs, thereby reinforcing the practical dimension and enriching the educational and guidance content provided to students.<\/p>\n

\u200bThe college deanship affirmed its full readiness to execute the guidance program according to the approved schedule in coordination with the scientific departments and cooperating entities. Meanwhile, department heads and liaison members demonstrated full engagement and cooperation to ensure the success of this initiative, contributing to a safe, conscious university environment and enhancing legal, social, and behavioral awareness among both undergraduate and postgraduate students.<\/p>\n
