Additionally, global water scarcity for irrigation, the loss of traditional grazing areas exceeding one million hectares (suffering from genetic erosion of plant resources), and the shortage of fodder coupled with rising prices further exacerbate these issues.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Secondly:<\/strong> Nineveh Province produces approximately 50% of Iraq\u2019s strategic crops, such as wheat and barley. However, over 90% of the province\u2019s agricultural land relies on rain-fed cultivation, rendering the national economy and food security highly vulnerable to drought in this vital region. This necessitates prudent management of these areas to safeguard food security.
