\nConsequently, since its establishment, Center for Arid Farming and Conservation Agriculture research’s has directed its research agenda toward societal benefit by developing innovative, sustainable solutions that enhance farmer and rural community resilience against environmental and climatic challenges.
\n2023-2024 Foundational Research Initiatives:
\nUpon its inception during the 2023-2024 academic year, the Center launched six strategic research programs:
\n1. Conservation Agriculture (Zero-Tillage) Project
\n2. Natural Pastureland Reconstruction project
\n3. Drought-Tolerant Genetic Resources Project
\n4. Sustainable Agriculture in Saline Soils Project
\n5. Flora of Nineveh Project
\n6. Conversion from Center-Pivot Sprinkler to Center-Pivot Drip Irrigation (Dragon Irrigation) Project
