<\/p>\n\u00a0\u00a0 In a step aimed at transferring modern agricultural technologies to the field and supporting farmers in Nineveh Governorate, the Center for Arid Farming and Conservation Agriculture Researches at the University of Mosul participated in field tours on November 19, 2025, to assess farmers’ fields in the areas west of Mosul.<\/p>\n
\u00a0\u00a0 Assist. Prof. Dr. Ma’an Mohammed Saleh represented the Center in these tours, visiting a number of agricultural fields in the Al-Ayadiyah and Sinjar Agriculture Divisions in cooperation with the international organization Solidarit\u00e9s International.<\/p>\n
\u00a0\u00a0 The field tours aimed to evaluate the status of the agricultural lands and determine their suitability for cultivation under the No-Till Farming (Conservation Agriculture) system for the current season’s wheat crop.<\/p>\n
\u00a0\u00a0 This collaboration serves as a bridge connecting academic scientific research with practical application, where the Center leverages its expertise to directly serve the local community. This activity falls within the framework of achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) and SDG 13 (Climate Action), by enhancing food security and disseminating agricultural practices capable of adapting to environmental changes.<\/p>\n
\u00a0\u00a0 This activity underscores the pioneering role of the University of Mosul and the Dryland and Conservation Agriculture Research Center in supporting the agricultural sector and contributing effectively to building a sustainable future in Iraq.<\/p>\n
