\u00a0\u00a0 Under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi<\/strong>, and under the supervision of the Director of the Dryland and Arid Agriculture Research Center, Professor Dr. Mohammed Subhi Al-Taweel<\/strong>, the Center for Arid Farming and Conservation Agriculture Research at the University of Mosul, in cooperation with the Department of Studies and Planning \/ Sustainable Development Unit at the University Presidency, organized a specialized scientific workshop on Thursday, 8 January 2026<\/strong>, entitled:<\/h3>\n

\u201cSustainable Management of Gypsiferous and Calcareous Soils through Conservation Agriculture.\u201d<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\u00a0\u00a0 This workshop was held in light of the increasing environmental challenges threatening agricultural lands in the region, representing an early warning to neighboring countries, foremost among them Iraq. The workshop aimed to highlight the vital importance of sustainable management of gypsiferous and calcareous soils and the role of conservation agriculture techniques in enhancing agricultural productivity, achieving environmental balance, and protecting natural resources.<\/h3>\n
