\u00a0On February 17, 2026, the Center for Arid Farming and Conservation Agriculture Research at the University of Mosul received a delegation from the Nineveh Research Department, part of the General Authority for Agricultural Research under the Iraqi Ministry of Agriculture. The visit aimed to strengthen scientific and research collaboration and exchange expertise to develop modern irrigation techniques that reduce production costs and increase crop yields in Nineveh Governorate.<\/h3>\n

\u00a0 The delegation was welcomed by the Center Director, Professor Dr. Mohammed Sobhi Mustafa Al-Taweel, in the presence of the Head of the Mechanized Technologies Department, Lecturer Dr. Mahmoud Awad Hussein. The visiting delegation requested a detailed explanation of the center\u2019s modified drip irrigation project, which is implemented in the fields of a farmer in the Tel Kaif area under the center\u2019s supervision. The project\u2019s importance for farmers in Nineveh was highlighted, focusing on improving water-use efficiency and enhancing agricultural production amid climate change challenges and limited water resources.<\/h3>\n

\u00a0 The two parties also discussed the possibility of leveraging the center\u2019s expertise to extend this technology to farmers across the governorate as part of future agricultural development programs.<\/h3>\n

\u00a0 At the conclusion of the visit, the delegation expressed appreciation for the warm reception and emphasized the importance of continued research and technical cooperation between agricultural institutions to support sustainable agricultural production and resource management.<\/h3>\n
