\u00a0\u00a0 As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen scientific research and advance sustainable agricultural practices, the Center for Arid Farming and Conservation Agriculture Research (C.AFCAR) continues to implement a series of field-based research activities aimed at improving crop productivity and understanding plant physiological responses under varying environmental conditions. Within this framework, a research team from the Center conducted field measurements of chlorophyll content using a SPAD meter at two locations\u2014Hammam Al-Alil and the University fields\u2014on Sunday and Monday, May 3\u20134, 2026.<\/h3>\n

\u00a0\u00a0 Chlorophyll measurement is considered a key physiological indicator reflecting plant health status and photosynthetic efficiency, thereby contributing to the assessment of environmental and management factors affecting crop growth.<\/h3>\n

\u00a0\u00a0 The measurements were carried out following a rigorous scientific methodology. Representative plant samples were selected from the studied fields, and chlorophyll content in their leaves was measured using a portable SPAD meter, which is characterized by its accuracy and ease of use under field conditions.<\/h3>\n

\u00a0\u00a0 This activity aims to investigate the effects of environmental stresses, such as drought and high temperatures, on plants, evaluate nitrogen fertilizer use efficiency, and support data-driven agricultural decision-making. It also contributes to improving natural resource management in arid farming systems.<\/h3>\n

\u00a0\u00a0 This research activity conducted by C.AFCAR aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including Goal 2 (Zero Hunger), Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), Goal 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), Goal 13 (Climate Action), and Goal 15 (Life on Land).<\/h3>\n
