\u00a0 \u00a0As part of supporting modern agricultural technologies and enhancing food security, the Center for Arid Farming and Conservation Agriculture Research participated in the \u201cField Circle\u201d Festival entitled: \u201cProduction of Disease-Free Potato Tubers Using Tissue Culture Technology\u201d<\/em>. The event was organized by the Agricultural Extension and Training Directorate in cooperation with the Horticulture Directorate at the Potato Tissue Culture Unit in Nineveh Province, within the supportive extension program of the Potato Development Program, on Wednesday, 13 May 2026.<\/h3>\n

\u00a0\u00a0 The festival was held under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Agriculture and under the direct supervision of Eng. Munir Ali Kreedi, Director General of the Agricultural Extension and Training Directorate, and Dr. Hatem Karim Al-Ghazin, Director General of the Horticulture Directorate. Our center was represented by Assistant Professor Dr. Ma\u2019an Mohammed Saleh, Head of the Genetic Resources Department at the Center.<\/h3>\n

\u00a0\u00a0 This festival was organized within the framework of promoting the use of modern agricultural technologies, particularly tissue culture technology, which is considered one of the most important scientific methods for producing healthy and disease-free potato tubers free from viral and fungal infections. This contributes to increasing productivity, improving crop quality, and reducing agricultural losses.<\/h3>\n
