\u00a0 The Center, in collaboration with the Center for Continuing Education \/ Quran Recitation and Memorization Unit, held a workshop titled “Duties of a Muslim towards the Holy Quran” on Wednesday, May 13, 2026.<\/h3>\n

\u00a0 The workshop were delivered by Professor Dr. Abdul Malik Salim Othman, a faculty member in the Department of Quran Sciences and Islamic Education \/ College of Education for Humanities, University of Mosul. He explained that the Holy Quran is the word of Allah Almighty revealed to our master Muhammad (peace be upon him), and it is the source of guidance and light for Muslims in every time and place. Allah has made it a constitution for life and a methodology for behavior and morals. Therefore, a Muslim has great duties towards the Holy Quran that must be upheld and practiced in daily life, including: believing in the Holy Quran and venerating it, reciting and reading the Quran, pondering its meanings and understanding it, acting upon its rulings, memorizing and teaching the Quran, and finally calling to the Quran and defending it. Consequently, adhering to the Holy Quran is the cause of human happiness in this world and the Hereafter, as it is a light that guides to the straight path. Whoever acts upon it attains the pleasure of Allah and wins great goodness. Therefore, every Muslim should make the Holy Quran the companion of their life and the methodology of their conduct \u2013 through reading, understanding, acting, and teaching.<\/h3>\n

\u00a0 The lectures of this workshop align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including: Goal 4 (Quality Education), Goal 5 (Gender Equality), Goal 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions), and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).<\/h3>\n
