\u00a0 A research team from the Center for Arid Farming and Conservation Agriculture Research, in cooperation with the International Organization for Migration, commenced the harvesting of wheat samples on Sunday, 14 June 2026, from fields established under a conservation agriculture project in Oweinat Village. This activity forms part of the Center\u2019s approved research program aimed at evaluating the effectiveness of conservation agriculture technologies and comparing their performance with conventional farming practices implemented in farmers\u2019 fields across the region.<\/h3>\n

\u00a0 The harvesting operations included the collection of field data related to grain yield and yield components from designated research sites established according to a rigorous scientific methodology. This approach enables accurate comparisons between conservation agriculture fields and those cultivated using traditional agricultural methods.<\/h3>\n

\u00a0 The activity is intended to assess the impact of conservation agriculture practices on improving crop productivity, enhancing the efficiency of natural resource utilization, and reducing soil degradation. Furthermore, it seeks to evaluate the contribution of these practices to strengthening farmers\u2019 resilience to climatic challenges and promoting the long-term sustainability of agricultural production systems.<\/h3>\n

\u00a0 The research team emphasized that the data generated from these field evaluations will provide valuable scientific evidence to support the wider adoption of sustainable agricultural technologies and contribute to the development of more resilient and productive farming systems in Nineveh Province and similar agroecological environments.<\/h3>\n
