\u00a0 On Wednesday, June 24, 2026, a team from C.AFCAR undertook a field visit to Al-Jarn village, located within the Hammam Al-Alil sub-district. The visit aimed to collect samples of wild plants as part of the requirements of the “Flora Nineveh” project, which is dedicated to preserving plant biodiversity threatened with extinction.<\/h3>\n

\u00a0 The visit entailed conducting comprehensive field surveys and collecting plant specimens from various sites in the village and its surrounding areas. These samples will subsequently be studied and classified according to approved scientific principles, in addition to documenting their distribution sites and assessing their ecological significance.<\/h3>\n

\u00a0 Project supervisors emphasized that these efforts fall within the overarching vision of the Flora Nineveh project, which seeks to conserve plant diversity and safeguard plant genetic resources. This, in turn, supports the sustainability of local ecosystems and raises awareness about the critical importance of protecting wild plants as an essential component of the governorate’s natural heritage.<\/h3>\n
