\u00a0 The AFCAR Center, in cooperation with the Department of Studies and Planning \/ Sustainable Development Unit at the Presidency of the University of Mosul, held a workshop on Sunday, September 27, 2026, titled “Strategies for Enhancing Extension Capacities towards an Agricultural Innovation System that Achieves Comprehensive and Sustainable Development.” The workshop was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Nada Younis Taher, Lecturer Abbas Ali Ahmed, and Dr. Nawaf Jasim Mohammed.<\/h3>\n

\u00a0 The workshop aimed to highlight the importance of developing extension capacities and enhancing their role in supporting agricultural innovation, thereby contributing to finding scientific and practical solutions to the challenges facing the agricultural sector, as well as supporting sustainable agricultural practices and achieving comprehensive development.<\/h3>\n

\u00a0 The workshop addressed a number of themes related to developing the agricultural extension system, enhancing the transfer of knowledge and modern technologies to farmers, building the capacities of those working in the extension field, and the importance of integration and coordination among research institutions, extension agencies, and entities related to the agricultural sector.<\/h3>\n

\u00a0 This workshop is consistent with the Sustainable Development Goals, including: Goal 2 (Zero Hunger), Goal 4 (Quality Education), Goal 5 (Gender Equality), Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), Goal 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), and Goal 13 (Climate Action).<\/h3>\n
