\u00a0 On Monday, 12 October 2026, AFCAR Center began planning a campaign to cultivate the wheat genetic lines maintained by the Center, with the aim of producing high-grade seeds in quantities sufficient to disseminate these genetic lines among farmers’ fields across Nineveh Governorate during the upcoming growing season.<\/h3>\n

\u00a0 The campaign commenced with the selection of fields free from weed plants and off-type varieties to ensure the cultivation of the approved genetic lines. The Center’s Genetic Resources Laboratory tested the germination rates of the seeds before planting to ensure that their laboratory germination percentages met the internationally recognized standards for the crop.<\/h3>\n
