Seminar/ unpublished cuneiform texts about barley from Iri-Safrik city
admin_omar2023-04-14T23:02:22+00:00On Sunday April 3rd/ 2022, a seminar was held at Dept. of Iraqi Ancient Languages entitled “unpublished cuneiform texts about barley from Iri-Safrik city”. The seminar was delivered by Asst. Prof. (Mahmoud Hamid Ahmed). The paper tackled the various cuneiform texts from the above mentions city which were concerned about agricultural crops like cereals, vegetables, tree fruits, plants and medical herbs which were important for their survival in ancient Iraq. Three texts were tackled in this seminar from the era of Ur- Third that were mainly concerned with barley which is considered as one of the important agricultural crops in Mesopotamia.
