On Sunday, May 28, 2023, the Department of Ancient Iraqi Languages at the College of Archeology\/ University of Mosul discussed a master\u2019s thesis entitled (Unpublished cuneiform texts from the Iraqi Museum – from the modern Sumerian era) at Dr. Behnam Abu Al-Suf\u2019s Hall in the college. Part of it was attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Yasser Jaber. Khalil, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, and a number of college teachers, employees, and students.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The study presented by the student (Hanin Yahya Qasim) dealt with the unpublished cuneiform study texts from the era of Ur III (2112-2004 BC) and preserved in the Iraq Museum, in which three kings were mentioned: King Shulgi, King Amar-Sin, and King Shu-Sin.<\/strong><\/p>\n

As the texts of this study (20) dealt with cuneiform texts, they were diverse, including precious materials such as gold and copper, and some about wood, as well as about workers.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The study of this group of texts aims to find out which king it belongs to, and its history is limited to the twenty-seventh year of the reign of King Shulgi to the second year of the reign of King Shu-Sin.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The discussion\/ viva committee was chaired by Assistant Professor Dr. Hassanein Haider Abdel Wahed, and the membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Wafa Hadi Zuwaid \/ University of Baghdad \/ College of Arts \/ Department of Archeology and Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Maysar Fadel, and under the supervision and membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Shaima Walid Abdel Rahman.<\/strong><\/p>\n
