\nThe Department of Civilization at the College of Archeology\/ University of Mosul discussed a master\u2019s thesis on (Queen Budu-Khiba, her biography and her role in the Hittite Kingdom 1267-1228 BC) on Monday, January 8, 2024, at Dr. Behnam Abu Al-Suf\u2019s hall in the college. Part of the viva was attended by Professor Assistant Dr. Yasser Jaber Khalil, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, and a number of college professors and students.
\nThe study presented by the student (Omar Ahmed Muhammad Jumaa) dealt with the role and biography of the Hittite Queen Budu-Khiba in the Hittite Kingdom (1267 – 1228 BC). This study also dealt with her active role in social, judicial and economic life as well as in religious life for which she had great merit in introducing Hurrian religious beliefs into the Hittite religion as well as its role in political life.
\nThis study aims to highlight her priestly role in the temple because she was the daughter of the Horite priest Binti Bishari and is considered one of the most prominent Hittite queens who had an important role in the Hittite Kingdom.
\nThe viva committee was chaired by Assistant Professor Dr. Hani Abdul Ghani Abdullah and the membership of both Assistant Professor Dr. Nabil Khaled Sheet and Assistant Professor Dr. Jassim Abbas Mohsen \/ Al-Hamdaniya University \/ College of Education \/ Department of History, and under the supervision and membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Khalaf Zidan Khalaf.<\/h3>\n
