\nThe Department of Ancient Iraqi Languages at the College of Archeology at the University of Mosul discussed the master\u2019s thesis entitled (The Deposit in the Ancient Babylonian Era in Light of Cuneiform Sources) on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, in the hall of Dr. Behnam Abu Al-Soph in the college, part of the viva was attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Yasmine Abdel Karim Muhammad Ali, Dean. College of Archeology, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Ali Muhammad Afeen, Dean of the college of Arts, Assistant Lecturer Khalis Abdul Karim Farman, Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, and a number of college staff.
\nThe thesis submitted by the student (Wazir Ali Hassan Ali) tackled the ancient texts by writing his own Latin text, mentioning its translation from approved books in this field, then analyzing and explaining the text and clarifying the most important things it contained about the deposit and its parties, its witnesses, its history, and the place of its placement, the time for its recovery, the penalties resulting from it, and other information contained in each text
\nThe research dealt with a number of ancient texts from various written types that talk about deposits, and among those types were: laws, contracts, and letters related to the subject of deposits.
\nThe study aims to collect what was mentioned in the ancient cuneiform texts and search in them for everything related to the deposit in that era and study it to understand what was mentioned in the deposit in the ancient era and compare it with our understanding of it in the current era.<\/h3>\n

The discussion committee was chaired by Professor Dr. Hussein Zaher Hammoud and the membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Yasser Jaber Khalil and Assistant Professor Dr. Aram Jalal Hassan \/ Salah University \/ College of Arts \/ Department of Archeology, and under the supervision and membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Moaz Habash Khadr.<\/h3>\n
