The Department of Ancient Iraqi Languages \u200b\u200bin the College of Archaeology held a seminar entitled (Wool shearing in Mesopotamia). The seminar was delivered by Professor Dr. Amin Abdul Nafi Amin and Assistant Lecturer Hanin Abdul Ghani Jassim. The study dealt with the importance of wool in Mesopotamia as a raw material used in many industries. It explained the methods and techniques used in shearing sheep wool. It explained in the study the timetables and seasons for shearing work, the places for shearing wool, the number of workers in this profession, and the Akkadian and Sumerian names used to express that.
