The master’s thesis entitled: “The results of the excavations\u00a0of the Iraqi mission in the Assyrian neighborhood in the city of Ashur”
\nwas defended by student (Hussam Saad Najm) from the Department of Archaeology on Monday, June 16, 2025, in Dr. Bahnam Abu Al-Souf Hall. The thesis addressed the characteristics of the architecture of houses and residential neighborhoods in the city of Ashur within the Mesopotamian civilization, which was characterized by continuous development throughout the ages, indicating the preservation of its ancient architectural heritage through the continuation of a specific style or model that prevailed throughout the ages. The study aimed to reveal the results of the excavations revealed by the Iraqi body working in the city of Ashur (the Assyrian neighborhood) and to understand its architectural style. This style was consistent in form and content with the nature of its social, economic, and religious functions in ancient Iraq, and also met the needs of the Iraqi family at that time.<\/h3>\n
