The master’s thesis entitled “The Natural Environment and Its Impact on the Civilization of Elam” was defended by the student Lamia Wadallah Hassan from the Civilization Department on Thursday, July 17, 2025, in Dr. Bahnam Abu Al-Suf Hall. The thesis examined the relationship between the natural environment of Elam and humans, and everything Elam mentioned about that environment, as well as its historical significance.
\nThe study addressed harnessing the natural environment to serve history and the extent to which it can be used to establish what can be proven about many historical aspects.<\/h3>\n

The thesis aimed to highlight the importance of nature in human life, and to emphasize the eternal and close relationship between nature and humans, and to emphasize that each has an impact on the other. The extent of this impact varies between the two sides. Sometimes the impact of the environment on human life increases, especially when the cultural and civilizational level of humans declines, while other times the role and impact of humans on the environment increases to the point where they are almost the masters of it. Both situations can be seen in the civilization of Elam.
