<\/p>\nNesma Mahmoud Salem, a teacher at the Sociology Department, participated with a research entitled:\u201cThe role of women in achieving intellectual security for the family and confronting extremism – a social study\u201d, in the conference held by the University of Kufa and the Universities of Al-Furat Al-Awsat, Technical University and Jaber Bin Hayyan Medical Sciences, in coordination with the Popular Mobilization Forces, on May 7-8, 2024, at the University of Kufa, under the slogan:\u201cEducational institutions and their efforts to confront extremism and intellectual terrorism – the nature of education, curricula and strategies.\u201d
\nThe research addressed the role of social institutions in combating extremism, as well as the challenges facing these institutions in performing their role in confronting extremism. In conclusion, the conference came out with a set of recommendations to activate the role of institutions in confronting intellectual extremism and preserving the intellectual security of society.<\/p>\n
