<\/p>\nA viva session was held in the College of Arts\/University of Mosul on THURSDAY 31st of October to examin a PhD dissertation entitled “Epistemological Dimensions in Pre-Islamic Poetry: First Class Poets as a case Study”. The dissertation submitted by Rusul Salih Muslih Al-Taii tackled the social, legendary, and historical dimensions of the First Class poets, and how they were invested in their poetry since poetry is deeply rooted in the collective mind of the Arabs during the Pre-Islamic era. The study also aimed at tracing the epistemological dimensions and highlighting them in creative poetry.
\nThe viva session was presided over by Prof. Dr. Nawar Abdul-Nafi’ Abdul-Majeed of Mosul University, with the membership of Prof. Dr. Sami Jasim Mohammed of Kirkuk University, Prof. Dr. Ann Tahsin Mahmood, Asst Prof. Jumana Moammed Nayif, and Asst. Prof. Jinan Abdullah Younis of Mosul University. The dissertation was supervised by Prof. Dr. Nisrat Salih Younis of College of Education For Humanitarian Sciences\/University of Mosul.<\/p>\n
