<\/p>\nAssistant Lecturer Bara Ibrahim Mahmoud, Mr. Yassin Faris Salem (Assistant Translator), graduate student Ali Hassan Mahmoud, and a group of undergraduate students from the French Language Department participated in a discussion session on the novels awarded the Goncourt Prize \u2013 Choice of the East. The session was held at the French Cultural Institute in Baghdad from April 26 to 27, 2025.<\/p>\n
The event included a meeting with renowned French writer Philippe Claudel, President of the Goncourt Academy, and was moderated by Salma Kojok, a Goncourt Prize laureate.
\nThis session brought together French language departments from various Iraqi universities and was attended by a wide audience interested in Francophone literature.<\/p>\n
