Under the Patronage of the Respected President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi
\nAnd the Supervision of the Esteemed Dean of the College of Arts, Professor Dr. Hatim Fahd Al-Tai<\/p>\n

The Department of History held a scientific symposium on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, in Hall 5 of the History Department, within the College of Arts, titled:
\n\u201cThe Political Repercussions in Syria After the Fall of the Bashar al-Assad Regime.\u201d<\/p>\n

The symposium addressed the political developments in Syria, particularly their regional implications, in order to understand the evolution of the political situation and its regional consequences\u2014especially the role of influential regional powers.<\/p>\n

The importance of the symposium lies in presenting the perspectives of researchers specialized in modern history, aiming to provide a deeper understanding of the events in Syria and the region. It also seeks to modernize historical studies and keep them aligned with political developments in the region, both in terms of methodology and outcomes, to ensure a more accurate and comprehensive reading of the past, as well as a scientifically informed analysis of current events.<\/p>\n

The session was chaired by:
