<\/p>\nOn Tuesday, May 6, 2025, the Department of History at the College of Arts held a defense session for a doctoral dissertation entitled \u201cPublic Expenditures in Al-Andalus from the Taifa Period to the Fall of the Kingdom of Granada (422\u2013897 AH \/ 1031\u20131492 CE),\u201d presented by researcher Nazhan Mohammed Hassan Al-Jubouri.<\/p>\n
The session was attended by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Hatim Fahd Al-Taie, and the Head of the Department, Professor Dr. Mahmoud Saleh Saeed, along with a number of faculty members.<\/p>\n
The dissertation shed light on public expenditures in the Andalusian state throughout its successive stages, analyzing financial spending mechanisms and their impact on the economic and social life of the time. It also reviewed the measures adopted by Andalusian governments to organize and distribute resources within an integrated financial system.<\/p>\n
