The Department of Sociology at the College of Arts held a defense for a Higher Diploma thesis in Social Peace titled \u201cThe Role of the Nineveh Governorate Office in Promoting Social Peace \u2013 The Citizens\u2019 Complaints Department as a Case Study,\u201d on Wednesday, May 7, 2025.<\/p>\n

The session was attended in part by Professor Dr. Hatim Fahd Al-Taie, Dean of the College, along with several faculty members.<\/p>\n

The thesis, submitted by student Dilshad Abdullah Ahmed Al-Zebari from the Department of Sociology, addressed the sociology of complaints, social peace, and the structure and role of the Citizens\u2019 Complaints Department in promoting social cohesion. The study explained how the Nineveh Governorate Office\u2014particularly the Citizens\u2019 Complaints Department\u2014plays a vital role in communicating with citizens and resolving the issues they face in their daily lives.<\/p>\n
