<\/p>\nOn Tuesday, July 1, 2025<\/b>, the Department of Arabic Language at the College of Arts convened for the defense of a doctoral dissertation titled “Poetic Space in the Works of Ibn Zumruk al-Andalusi (d. 797 AH).” The viva was attended by Professor Dr. Hatem Fahd Al-Tai, Dean of the College, Dr. Ahmed Saleh Younis, Head of the Department, and numerous faculty members.<\/p>\n
The study, submitted by postgraduate student Israa Jamal Khalil Al-Hamdani from the Department of Arabic Language, delved into the concept of poetic space as a critical term and explored its constituent elements.<\/p>\n
The primary objective of this research was to meticulously examine poetic space and its key components, namely place, time, and vision<\/b>, within the literary corpus of Ibn Zumruk al-Andalusi.<\/p>\n
