The Department of Arabic Language at the College of Arts defended a Master’s thesis titled: “The Poetry of Al-Aswad bin Ya’fur Al-Nahshali: A Rhetorical Analysis (Dir\u0101sa Bay\u0101niyyah<\/i>).”<\/p>\n

The defense took place on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, with the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Hatem Fahd Al-Tai, attending part of the session.<\/p>\n

The study, submitted by candidate Abdullah Mahmoud Abdullah in the Arabic Language Department, focused on illustrating the manifestations of artistic creativity and the utilization of rhetorical arts (fun\u016bn al-bay\u0101n<\/i>) in the poet’s work.<\/p>\n

The research aims to uncover the various rhetorical styles (al-as\u0101l\u012bb al-bay\u0101niyyah<\/i>), such as Simile (al-Tashb\u012bh<\/i>), Metaphor (al-Isti’\u0101rah<\/i>), and Metonymy (al-Kin\u0101yah<\/i>).<\/p>\n
