The Department of Sociology at the College of Arts organized a dialogue workshop on Thursday, October 16, 2025, titled \u201cDomestic Violence: Motives, Effects on the Individual and Society, and Remedial Measures.\u201d The session addressed the dimensions of this serious phenomenon, its social and psychological consequences, and methods for mitigating its occurrence.<\/p>\n

The discussion was moderated by Assistant Professor Dr. Hatem Younis Mahmoud, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Mahmoud Ahmed, and Lecturer Dr. Noura Majeed. They presented scientific insights and analytical interventions concerning the underlying causes of domestic violence and discussed prevention and treatment strategies from a sociological and educational perspective.<\/p>\n
