<\/p>\nThe Department of History at the College of Arts, University of Mosul, organized a scholarly symposium on Sunday, September 21, 2025, titled “Biographical Books, Their Importance in Contemporary Studies, and Methods of Their Sustained Utilization.”<\/p>\n
The event took place in the College’s Al-Salam Hall, under the supervision of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Hatem Fahd Hano Al-Tai, and the Head of the History Department, Professor Dr. Mahmoud Saleh Saeed.<\/p>\n
A number of faculty members from the department contributed papers to the symposium, including: Dr. Nasser Abdul Razzaq, Dr. Abdul Qadir Ahmed, Dr. Muhammad Abdullah, Dr. Muhammad Ali Weis, Dr. Hana Salem, and Dr. Rana Salem. The session was chaired by Dr. Hashim Abdul Razzaq.<\/p>\n
The symposium aimed to highlight the academic value of biographical literature (Kutub Al-Tarajim<\/i>) as essential primary sources for re-reading history and employing them in contemporary studies, alongside discussing modern methods for their analysis and application.<\/p>\n
The event concluded with a fruitful scholarly dialogue that emphasized the importance of sustaining research efforts in the field of specialized historical studies.<\/p>\n
