The Department of Arabic Language at the College of Arts held a Master’s thesis defense on “Syntactic Components of Conjunction (Wa\u1e63l<\/i>) and Disjunction (Fa\u1e63l<\/i>) in Ibn Hisham al-Ansari’s (d. 761 AH) Commentaries: Sharh al-Qatr<\/i> and Sharh al-Shuthur<\/i>.”<\/p>\n

The defense took place on Sunday, October 26, 2025. A portion of the session was attended by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Hatem Fahad Al-Tai, alongside a number of the College’s academic staff.<\/p>\n

Study Objective<\/h4>\n

The research, presented by the student Bakhtiar Muhammad Ali Younis, aimed to conduct an in-depth study of syntactic conjunction and disjunction (al-Wa\u1e63l wa-al-Fa\u1e63l al-Na\u1e25w\u012b<\/i>), specifically identifying and elucidating the most significant instances of these phenomena as presented by the eminent grammarian Ibn Hisham al-Ansari.<\/p>\n
