The College of Basic Education at the University of Mosul discussed a master\u2019s thesis on (The contributions of female scholars from Syria to scientific life in the book \u201cAl-Durar Al-Kamina fi A\u2019yan Al-Mi\u2019at Al-Thamina\u201d by Ibn Hajar Al-Asqalani (d. 852 AH \/ 1448 AD), on Monday, September 8, 2025, in the \u201cAl-Hadba\u201d Hall in the college.<\/span>
\nThe thesis, presented by the student (Yasser Sayer Khattab Al-Shammari) from the Department of (History), aimed to (monitor the biographies of female scholars from Syria in the book \u201cAl-Durar Al-Kamina\u201d and determine their scientific characteristics).<\/span>
\nThe study addressed several axes, including: Introduction: Introducing Ibn Hajar Al-Asqalani, his book, and his method in presenting biographies of women.<\/span>
\nChapter One: Introducing female<\/span>
\nscholars from Syria. Chapter Two: Contributions of female scholars from Syria to scientific life.<\/span>
\nChapter Three: Titles of female scholars from Syria and their meanings)<\/span>
\n. The study reached many results, including: (The study revealed a vivid picture of female scholars in the Levant, as it became clear that women were not a marginal element in the field of knowledge, but rather were active partners in the circles of science. (various).<\/span>
\nThe discussion committee was headed by Professor Dr. Fathi Salem Hamidi, and the membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Maysar Muhammad Baha\u2019 al-Din, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Abdullah Hussein, and (Assistant Professor Dr. Akab Youssef Juma) as a member and supervisor\u2026\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n
