The thesis was submitted by the student Omar Ali Abdul Qader on Tuesday, November 8, 2026, in the Umm Al-Rabi\u2018ain Hall at the college.<\/p>\n<p>The thesis examined symbolism from both theoretical and practical perspectives, reviewing the views and approaches of scholars concerning symbolism and then identifying the mechanisms through which it operates in the selected literary work. The study aimed to demonstrate the role of symbolism in producing meaning and shaping the narrative vision.<\/p>\n<p>Accordingly, the thesis included an analysis of various types of symbols in Naguib Mahfouz\u2019s novel under study, including political, historical, social, and religious symbols, among others.<\/p>\n<p>The discussion committee consisted of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prof. Dr. Nafe\u2019 Hammad Mohammed \u2014 Chair<\/li>\n<li>Prof. Dr. Jasim Mohammed Jasim \u2014 Member<\/li>\n<li>Asst.
