{"id":38458,"date":"2024-08-01T09:10:58","date_gmt":"2024-08-01T09:10:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uomosul.edu.iq\/en\/computerscience\/?p=38458"},"modified":"2024-08-04T09:29:53","modified_gmt":"2024-08-04T09:29:53","slug":"1-45","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uomosul.edu.iq\/en\/computerscience\/2024\/08\/01\/1-45\/","title":{"rendered":"master&#8217;s thesis by Mohamed Mahmoud Wali Mustafa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Defense of a master&#8217;s thesis in the College of Computer Science and Mathematics &#8211; Department of Computer Science<br \/>\nTitled<br \/>\nHybrid filters to soften and sharpen video contents using spatial field<br \/>\nHybrid Filters for Smoothing and Sharpening a Video Segment Content Using the Spatial Domain<\/p>\n<p>In continuation of the scientific research movement and the follow-up and presence of the Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science and Mathematics, Prof. Dr. Duha Bashir Abdel Allah<\/p>\n<p>Discussed in the Cyberspace Hall of the College of Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Mosul on Thursday 1 &#8211; 8 &#8211; 2024<br \/>\nMaster&#8217;s thesis (hybrid filters to soften and sharpen the contents of a video using the spatial field)<br \/>\nFor the student Mohamed Mahmoud Wali Mustafa and under the supervision of Dr. Omar Moayad Abdel Allah<\/p>\n<p>Addressed the thesis submitted by the student<br \/>\nUse hybrid filters to smooth and sharpen video contents using spatial domain<br \/>\nThe study touched on the use of the method of<br \/>\nHybrid filters on videos to reduce noise and blur affecting them<br \/>\nThe study aims to:<br \/>\nFinding a way to reduce noise from video clips after converting them into frames, which represent independent images from each other by smoothing these images, and then finding a way to increase their sharpness, because the smoothing process will cause some blurring on the images while working to reduce noise.<br \/>\nA proposed method of smoothing and a proposed method of sharpening were reached, and a comparison of the proposed methods of smoothing and sharpening was made with the filters on which the proposed methods were built, and then the artificial bee colony algorithm was used with the proposed methods to obtain further improvement of the results of the proposed methods.<br \/>\nThe discussion committee was chaired by Prof. Khalil Ibrahim Ahmed Chairman<br \/>\nAssoc.
