Under the direction of the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and under the supervision of the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Abdulrahim Ibrahim Jasim, the Director of the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations, Dr. Mohammed Abdul Malik Al-Shorbaji, visited the University of Plymouth in the United Kingdom to explore prospects for academic and research cooperation and to strengthen the scientific partnership between the two universities.<\/p>\n

The visit included meetings with a number of officials and academics at the British university, during which opportunities to develop cooperation were discussed in areas including joint supervision of postgraduate students, the exchange of academic staff, researchers, and academic expertise, as well as the implementation of joint research and scientific projects and the development of academic programmes and initiatives that contribute to strengthening scientific engagement between the two institutions.<\/p>\n

The meetings also emphasised the importance of translating areas of cooperation into practical steps that would create broader opportunities for postgraduate students, researchers, and members of the academic staff, while enhancing the exchange and utilisation of the scientific and research expertise and resources available at both universities.<\/p>\n

This visit forms part of the University of Mosul’s strategy to expand its international partnerships and strengthen its global academic presence, supporting the quality of higher education and scientific research and promoting openness and engagement with distinguished international academic institutions.<\/p>\n
